I am having problems with the MP TV server not moving my diseqc 1.2 motor when I change channel. It moves perfectly when setting it up and moves to the saved positions in the tv server config screen, just not when I change channel in MP.

I have seen this issue raised a few times before but have only found 1 thread marking it as fixed. After reading this thread it has not solved my issue and so am asking if anyone else has any experience they can pass my way. The link to the only real thread for this is below.

I am happy to post logs and assist where I can if this is a general problem rather than a local one on my part. To provide a little information to my setup I include the specs of my machine below.

MP Build = 1.1.3
TV Card = Hauppage HVR3000 and Compro VideoMate S350 DVB-S (tried both)
Diseqc = Alsat Dark Motor 1.2

As I stated above when in the tv server config after storing satellite positions I can select a satellite and click goto with no problems, just when I change channels the dish does not even attempt to move.

:D

    Hi jinxy_tj

Firstly, DiSEqC is not supported for Compro tuners. We would be *very* happy to add support, but Compro has not responded to my emails. Perhaps you could contact them and request them to release their DiSEqC and DVB-S2 SDK/API to us. I can provide you with my contact details if necessary. :)

I am happy to post logs...
Please do this - it is a rule that logs must be supplied if you raise a support request. Right now I can do absolutely nothing to help you as I have no idea what is happening. I can only see what is really going on if I have logs to look at. Grabbing logs is *really* easy if you use the watchdog - information and instructions for using it can be found -->here<--. In this case we're interested in TV Server logs, so perform your tests in TV Server then use option 3 in the watchdog to get a zip file containing your logs that you can post here.

Note: please explain what you did (with times included), what you expected to happen, and what actually happens.

PS: since the Compro tuner can't move the motor you should really only map the satellite channels to the Hauppauge tuner. The way to scan channels with a motor is:
    1. Move the motor to the correct position on the motor tab.
    2. Go to the first tab and scan *only* the channels on that satellite.
    3. Repeat (1) and (2) for each satellite.
