On the category object you can set EstimatedVideoCount ;) Will be displayed on label2 in the list.

offbyone, can I somehow display how many videos there are in each category? The number is already in the JSON I get when I scrape the categories, so should be simple...but how?

But isn't this only for subcategories?

Works perfectly here :0) - But it is a lot slower to start streaming than the "old" plugin. Old one takes ~5 to start streaming, where the new one takes ~30 secs.

Why is this? Difference in streaming quality?

DR logo and description is missing(see old plugin) - But the feeds look great with description & thumbnail

Will Bonanza area & Live TV be available as well?

The difference is, that these videos are FLV-files. Other formats DR previously have used, are WMV and MP4.

This is just a test to see what is possible. Bonanza is already in the existing dr.dk site in OnlineVideos, as are the old WMV and the never MP4 files. Live TV is also in the existing plugin, but I haven't tested it lately...

AW: Re: AW: Re: Does dr.dk work?

Any Category can have a tree of Category(s) below. But you can still set that property on all of them. Logically it makes only sense on a category that has Videos and not (sub)Categories, so on a leaf in the tree speaking in science terms.

But maybe I'm not understanding what you want to achieve? You have top-level Categories and Sub-Categories in your site? Or a deeper hierarchy? And want to display the videocount where?

I only have top-level categories, made with "DiscoverDynamicCategories()"

    1. I enter OnlineVideos in MediaPortal
    2. I choose DR NU (I could also have chosen Youtube or any of the other sites)
    3. I then see all of my 214 categories, where each category is a programme, with for instance 10 shows (videos) in each

Here I already know the videocount, because the JSON is nice enough to tell me this number. This videocount would be nice to have displayed as label2.
    4. I click a category, and the 10 videos in this programme is shown.
    5. I choose a video and play it.

    :D

BTW: I can't get DR NU Live TV working. It is as if the location is not there, but it is, I used Wireshark as well, and it sniffs these 5 URLS for the 5 channels:

    rtmp://rtmplive.dr.dk/live/livedr01astream3 (DR1)
    rtmp://rtmplive.dr.dk/live/livedr02astream3 (DR2)
    rtmp://rtmplive.dr.dk/live/livedr03astream3 (DR update)
    rtmp://rtmplive.dr.dk/live/livedr04astream3 (DR K)
    rtmp://rtmplive.dr.dk/live/livedr05astream3 (DR Ramasjang)

VLC crashes when I try these URLs. DR sucks

Seems to me that I can't get any DR FLV-files to play?

    AW: Does dr.dk work?

For the EstimatedVideoCount to be displayed on you top level Categorys they need to be of type "RssLink" (which inherits from Category). If you set that property, it will show in label2 (Blue3Wide shows this in list layout and on the bottom when the category is selected).

Please set your loglevel to debug, I can't see any info in the logline above that say the rtmp connection was attempted (they are only logged with level debug).

I'll take a look at the categories later, and will probably change them to RSS-type, thanks :)

For now, I'll post logs from trying to play the LIVE channels, first up is this one:

    rtmp://rtmplive.dr.dk/live/livedr01astream3

I have stripped all logging that took place before entering OnlineVideos plugin. As you can see, it claims that the stream doesn't exist.

I just (succesfully) grabbed 10 seconds of live viode with RTMPDump 2.3 using this line:
    rtmpdump --live -r rtmp://rtmplive.dr.dk/live/livedr01astream3 -o dr1.flv

    rtmpdump.png

    But using:
    rtmpdump -r rtmp://rtmplive.dr.dk/live/livedr01astream3 -o dr1.flv
    it fails.

    :D

    AW: Does dr.dk work?

For the live stream the "live" parameter is required, so that's fine. You can achieve that in Onlinevideos as well:

    Code:
    string resultUrl = ReverseProxy.GetProxyUri(RTMP_LIB.RTMPRequestHandler.Instance,
                                string.Format("http://127.0.0.1/stream.flv?rtmpurl={0}&live=true", "rtmp://rtmplive.dr.dk/live/livedr01astream3"));

It seems to work now, but I don't get any audio/video, just a black square in the upper left corner. Graphstudio reports that Cyberlink FLV splitter is used, and that ffdshow handles both video & audio. Must test on Win 7 back at home...

    No errors are logged.

Must be a codec issue, since it finds the stream just fine:
