Does MP 1.0.2 work with Windows 7? (1 Viewer)

Please try to understand that 1.0.2 is NOT Windows 7 ready and go with 1.1.0Beta (and maybe also latest sVN build) as there are so many improvements in it for Windows7.

I understand that. However, IMO 1.1 isn't ready either and from what I see, it's not even close.

What are the issues with 1.0.2 and win7? What works and what doesn't?

I use 1.1.0 with latest SVN in my production HTPC as many others and I would consider it far better than 1.0.2: more stable, less or no memory leaks, a lot of new features and fixes.

Anyway it's up to you but please don't go on with asking what is workign and what's not because you want to stay on 1.0.2 with Windows7.

You have only two choices: 1.0.2 with Vista and lower or 1.1.0Beta for Windows7.

I have plenty of choices. I can give up on MP completely and use something that better fits my needs, or someone who is using 1.0.2 with Windows 7 (I know there are people who do) can help me out. I really like MP and I don't want to switch, but I don't feel this request is out of the question. I simply want to know what about 1.0.2 is the hang up with 7. Maybe it won't even effect what I use MP for which is to watch & record ATSC tv, & watch mkv's with moving pictures & my tv series.

If you feel that strongly about this, maybe you can take a stab at my issues then. Did you look at the logs I included in this thread paying attention to the 2000hrs part on 11/17?

I have a feeling that my missed recording issue is related to the other one, but no one seems interested in even looking at the issue or offering any advice at all as evident by the lack of replies in my thread and in Rara Avis' thread.

Considering Windows 7 launched less than a month ago, I don't think it is that surprising that MP might not be completely solid on Windows 7 yet.
