As Lyxalig said, are you sure you're changing the right codecs? Your screenshot shows the codecs under the "movie player" section in configuration. You need to change the ones under the "dvd" section (see mzemina's screenshot).

Apologies if this is blatantly obvious...

Sigh

At least I know this is not something stupid I suppose or I would not be being asked the same thing over and over. "Are you sure you know how to use a drop down"

Again! both MyDVD and MyVideo do the same thing and All codecs behave the same period. Also the I have not found a pukka DVD that will work I have found many 'backups' that will.

From what i understand, it's for the copies onto your hdd? Or off a DVD itself?

If you're copying to your hdd, use something like DVD Decryptor (free), otherwise it will result in funny playback. PowerDVD can play it without i believe, but try it.

Failing that, i'd try another video card just to eliminate that option.

Re: DVD Playback (choppy) Problems in WMP 10 after installing Nero 6 Ultra and Updates.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeAudio.ax and NeVideo.ax
Don't delete these files!
For safety reason create New folder and move files in it.

And welcome to CD-Freaks, cromag!

Thanks to all, Regards

Probably should deregister them as well as just move them? So they aren't always searched for and not found?

Just for anyones elses interest, have Nero 7 running no problems, but then I unselect every file type, and do not make new program default for anything on my system.
Just a hint when installing new programs, can save all the above hastle.

Glad you got it sorted ChEeSyBoOfS, that was one crap picture.

It is not a default file type problem, I don't believe, it is a DirectShow filter issue. Did you install Nero ShowTime? That is where the DS filters that are causing the issue come from.
