Try to check "Force max DTS-HD rate" in LAV settings.

(not sure if this will work, I don't use bitstreaming)

Also, worthy of a try: go into MPC-HC settings => Internal filters and uncheck the source filter for the file type you're playing (i.e. mp4/mkv/etc.), and the transform filter for DTS. This will force MPC-HC to use the same external LAV as MediaPortal uses, and will make it easier to diagnose.

Edit: this can also be an audio renderer issue.
In MP config => Codecs and Renderer => Video tab => Audio renderer, try MediaPortal Audio Renderer to see if it changes anything.

Oups, Oh yeah, this does the trick, instead of choose Denon receiver.
