hrm.. you should be changing "CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" file.

other things i notice is on line 2, you have a space between the "&a mp" near the "rev_05" thing..

also are u sure this is yoru serial number and that? i personally didn't have the &rev_05. try it without that.

DTV2000 H Not Recognised

Thanks for the help that has been offered so far. Unfortunately it has not helped. Let me give you as much information as I possibley can here:

My edited CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file:

<capturecard commercialname="Leadtek WinFast DTV2000 H (Digital)" capturename="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA Transport Stream Capture" devid="ven_14f1&dev_8802&subsys_6f2b107d">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"></capabilities>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="3" audio="4" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="2"></interface>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="capture" name="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA Transport Stream Capture" checkdevice="false"></filter>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"></connection>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

NB: I have removed the &rev_05 according to sekshiongs instructions, as well as the other suggestions he made but all still to no avail.

This is all the details of my tuner card:

Main Chipset: Conexant CX2388X and Conexant CX22702
Tuner: Phillips FMD1216
Hardware Interface: 32-bit PCI 2.3 bus mastering PNP compliant
Support DVB-T and Analog TV alternatively on a single card
Video Standards: NTSC, Pal or Secam
FM Tuner: Stereo FM 88Mhz`108Mhz

This is my registry entry: pci\ven_14f1&dev_8802&subsys_6f2b107d

I am using TV Server in conjunction with Media Portal and everything is there in TV Server and I can actually preview the channels but when it comes to actual viewing etc in Media Portal itself I get the old "No tuner cards installed.

I have two CaptureCardDefinitions.xml files, obviously due to using both server and Media Portal, and I have edited both of those.

I have installed all the latest Leadtek drivers however I have not installed any other software that came with the card. And while I think of it......is the remote control going to work if and when I get this fixed?????

What else could I do besides throw a litre of petrol on the tuner card and a couple of lit matches????

Still not working.

Thanx bigpygmy........but not working!!!! I have been playing around with the code and trying some differnent variations none of which work yet. I am even working on what I call a hybrid which is a mixture of the Digital and Analogue cards.....who knows what might happen. I have realised that the software that comes with this card is absolute crap so anyone who has dont install and if you have just delete it, stick to Media Portal.

The other thing I have noticed and I think it may be of help to others is in Media Portal GUI in the TV section I have noticed that with different codes I have tried in the .xml file that the signal indicator changes which seems to be a good indicator as to whether or not I am on the right track. Right now using bigpygmy's code it is at 75%. Maybe this means nothing at all but it has changed with variations of the code.

Getting going at it Leadtek DTV2000 H users!!

This is what I have so far. It does not work! The information comes from graphedit as will as advice from other users. If anyone out there can fix it to make it work then PLEASE let me know.

Hey Genx.. sorry mate have no idea..

the only thing i can suggest is start afresh with a new/fresh XML file, make sure you're editing an entry rather than adding one, use notepad, change as little as possible, make sure the devid n stuff is correct..
either via regedit (note there's a fair few registry entries and some do have slightly different devid's) and/or graphedit..

When i was first editing it.. it gave me can't find any tuners..
then it started giving me. cannot create graph .. so i knew i was on the right track..
but it required the exact combination of things to make it work.. i.e. taking the rev_05 thing off for me

good luck..

Eureka!!!! I've Got It!!!!

Well firstly, and foremostly, to Shekshiong goes out the biggest thank you possible to mankind!!!!! With your information I finally got the Leadtek Winfast DTV2000 H Digital/Analogue Tuner Card to work!!!!

Firstly here is the end result;

<capturecard commercialname="Leadtek WinFast DTV2000 H (Digital)" capturename="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA Transport Stream Capture" devid="ven_14f1&dev_8802&subsys_6f2b107d&rev_05">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"></capabilities>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="3" audio="4" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="2"></interface>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="capture" name="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA Transport Stream Capture" checkdevice="false"></filter>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"></connection>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

Now this is how I did it, with Shekshoings help, in a step by step guide for others who are experiencing problems;

1. Go to C:\Program Data\Team Media Portal\Media Portal and open the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file.
2. Now press Ctrl+F, this will open the "Find" dialog box.
3. In the dialog box type, "DTV2000 H" and click the find next button. This will take us to the Capture Card Definition that we want to EDIT and not copy and paste at the end of the Definitions file like it says to do in the GraphEdit "How to Add a TV Card" wiki.
4. Now download the GraphitEdit software, Add TVCard to natively supported list - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation use this link and yes you want the DirectX9 version, extract files GraphEdit .exe file to start the application.
5. Click on "Graph" and select "Insert Filters".
6. From the filters dialog box you want to add these filters in this order; (a) BDA Network Providers>Microsoft DVB T Network Provider. (b) BDA Receiver Components, here you will find your tuner card:Winfast DTV2000 H BDA Transport Stream Capture as well as the all important moniker which is inbetween "subsys_" and "#4, insert this filter being sure as to make note of the moniker which is-6f2b107d&rev_05 note I have already added the &. Your moniker could be different to mine so make sure as you check what GraphEdit states yours is! DON'T just copy mine!! Insert this filter. (c) Next click on the BDA Source Filters section, select your tv tuner card, and insert this filter.
7. Now we will connect the pins; click on the "Antenna out" pin on the Microsoft DVB T Network Provider filter and drag and attach the arrow head to the "Input0" pin on the Winfast DTV2000 H BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod" filter. Once these two are connected you will need to connect the next filter, click on the "MPEG2 Transport pin on the WinFast DTVetc filter and drag and attach the arrow head to the "MPEG2 Transport" pin on the "WinFast DTV2000 H BDA Trasport Stream Capture" filter pin. Once these 3 steps are finished the next thing to do is to right click on the empty pin on the "WinFast DTV2000 H Transport Stream Capture" filter select "render pin" from the pop up box.
8. Back to our CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file. On the definition that we used "Find" to locate we need to EDIT the following; (a)paste, or type in, the moniker which you found in GraphEdit into the appropriate position. This position is found here; devid="ven_14f1&dev_8802&subsys_6f2b107d&rev_05"> Be sure to add the amp; after each & if it is not already there. (b) now we are going to EDITthe <interface cat line. You will need to refer to your graph that you made with GraphEdit to get this information. If the graph you made tells you that Video is on pin 3 then edit this on the definition file by placing a 3 in between the video="". Do so for the audio, MPEG2 and sectionsandtables as well. (c) if on the filter cat="tunerdevice" name= line you find that it states "WinFast DTV2000 H BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod (Philips FMD1216ME)" you will need to delete the (Philips FMD1216ME). (d) now you need to change the "true" to "false" on both the "<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod" checkdevice=" line and the "<filter cat="capture" name="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA Transport Stream Capture" checkdevice=" line.
9. Now you can close the CaptureCardDefinitiions.xml file, being sure to SAVE changes made.
10. Now open "Media Portal Configuration" and add your card and tune in your stations etc.

Let me know if you are having problems.

Thanx again to Shekshion!!

:D
