Affirmative. Also tried deleting the cards in Device Manager, rescanning them and pointing to the new drivers - same result..... and, also tried Update Drivers in DM but it claimed it could not use the new ones that I pointed it at - maybe that's a clue.

I posted a reply earlier today but it went in the black hole (shows my inexperience - it actually went onto the next page).

Yes, followed the instructions to the letter. Also tried deleting the Nova-T's in Device Manager and re-installing, pointing to the new drivers - same effect. Also tried Driver Update and it said that it couldn't use any of the drivers in the new distros - maybe that's a clue?
