Duplicate Series Artwork / Track last watched episodes (2 Viewers)

Sorry for the vagueness of the title, but I have 2 questions and one of which I wouldnt know what to call it in terms of a "title".

Anyway. I have been a happy and satisfied user of MY TVSeries for some time, and what I want to ask are not big problems for me, but if there are answers out there, it would make this great facility, even Greaterer ?!?!? for me.

Re: series art. Since the first version I had (Im not sure which it was, but about a year or so) whenever I enter MYTVSeries I find that a number of series have an incorrect artwork, specifically one from another series. I believe this to ususally be an adjacent one in the "Filmstrip" as I seem to recall it is always 2 identical pictures next to eachother, one being correct and the other being incorrect (That is to say there are NOT 2 instances of the same series somehow being listed, but the art from one series is being used for another series.

A simple example. Fisrt series Piorot. Image for Piorot shown. Second series Dr Who. Image for Piorot shown again. third series Red Dwarf. Image for Dwarf show.

Sometimes if I exit and return it is corrected, other times it is not or seems to effect a different combination.

Any ideas anyone?

My second query is this. My wife and I essentially watch the same stuff, but when she or I am away we will watch some programmes and as such the other person will need to catch up. At the moment we have no reliable way of telling who watched what. I find the watched flag is hit or miss for us, as often I need to check a recording is ok due to a bad reception day, or programming being moved to the extreme off time slot. Unless we ensure the watched flag is always set we cant rely on it, and even if we did try to make sure of this, something would slip through the net. Equally this would only for one persons viewing.

Is there anyway we can "indicate" that one person, or another person has seen a program. In essence is there anyway to attach additional "flags" OR "indicators" to individual programs. If not, I reckon this would be a useful tool for grouping programming for many uses such that anyone could pull up there own subset of data as a result of such flags. Of course I am not really asking for that much functionality, as Id be happy if I could just see an additional user definable character or indicator on an episode list.

Can this be done with the way things are currently, or maybe can I use playlists for this purpose (I am not really sure how they work to be honest, but if someone could confirm this may help I will have a look into them.

Hi CairnsFella, this is a known issue and has been raised on our Issue Tracker. Unfortunately it has not been an easy one to fix:

Nothing like this exists currently ie. you cant set a watched flag per user. Without doing multi-user watched flags/ratings support we could probably tackle this by storing the date/time of an episode that has been watched...with this information we could easily create a new view of the last watched episodes which someone could browse and see what was last watched.

I actually like this and will probably add it to the tracker.

For now, you could probably use Playlists but it may be more pain than its worth...basically you could add a playlist of the episodes you intend to watch and then save it...then your wife can come along and load the playlist.

Re: the first point. Sorry its causing you giys a headache. Ill look out for progress on this one.

On the second point, Im not sure that the idea that you have would address our issue greatly as over time it would still be difficult to know who watched what. However, although you state its a pain, I'll have a look at the playlist solution. This might not be to bad, but is it possible to have more than one playlist? If so I reckon this would be a perfectly viable way to go.

Yes I understand, this would be only a recently watched list... which in most cases you just want to quickly catch up on what your significant other had recently watched in the past day/week.

but is it possible to have more than one playlist? If so I reckon this would be a perfectly viable way to go.

Yes, you can make as many as you want.

Nothing new to add really, and I understand why my thread title was updated, however it really no longer reflects the question I posed, as the ability to track "recently watched" episode may well have been a suggested solution, but I was asking about tracking "who has watched what episode over time".

To clarify, I am not looking for more input as I believe Damien understood my point and has provided his comments, but in case anyone else was to comment further I would prefer the point to be taken as intended.
