I have a strange problem with EPG of Sky italian. Everything works fine and I grab 7 days of EPG from DVB with no problem but I noticed a strange thing. Programs from 0:00 to 06:00 of every day are the ones from the day before in tvserver EPG. That is if a program is on monday at 03:00 it appears as being on thuesday at 03:00 in mediaportal guide. I compared the official guide on the sky site and this happens every day.

Maybe it's a problem of when a "program day" is supposing to start? I mean here in italy if I say a program is on monday at 03:00 I mead monday in the morning, maybe somewhere else it means monday night at 03:00 (that is thuesday in the morning).

    Anyone sperimenting a similar problem?

For me it's important 'cause I'm not able to schedule recordings in the early morning using the guide.

No, same worldwide AFAIK, and definately used here by all.

Would say either your database possibly corrupt or the wrong information is being transmitted.

What happens if you do a refresh of epgdata (TVServer\manual) during the daytime make a difference, against say a refresh in the evening.

I have heard of epg times being "out" but not in the way you have described.

I've already tried to refresh with no result... I will try to look into the database to understand if the epg inside is correct.

The entries in the database are not correct too... So in seems have something to do with the tvserver catching the guide from DVB.

Guide is correct on my SkyBox so I think it must be a tvserver problem.

I will try to look into the code.

I've come to the conclusion that Sky Italia does not transmit EPG in a standard way... I now use XMLTV to retrieve the guide via Internet (is much slower but works).

I think that the only way to make the sky epg grabbing work correctly is to make a patch where from certain transponders it takes into account the fact that programs from 0:00 to 6:00 are from the day before and change the date before putting it into the database.

    I know it's not a clean thing...
