    Hello chaps newbie here,

I ran the runme file after unzipping it to my c drive & a dos window opens, spews a code, the dialogue box says successful, so I clicked OK & it spewed the code again in the dos windows. So I think I have installed it 3 times, hence oops! Every time I have tried to open mediaportal config I now get the error SI/PSI. So I need to delete & un-install dvbfix to re-install once & not 3 times. Any suggestions how I delete it please?

I am on Windows XP SP3 with all updates & downloads & I have media player 11. My machine is a HP pavilion a309uk with 2.4 ghz Intel Celeron 1 gig RAM 250 gig hard disk. AGP

So now chaps I have unintsalled the media portal software fully. I then installed the software that came with ClimaxDigital DTV395 Dual DVBT TV Stick. It has found most of the channels. MediaPortal found no signal, I suspect it is a problem with DVBfix. I have installed NETFramework from 1.1 to 4 does that include SQL5 as well? I would really like to get mediaportal working,

Thanks chaps, sorry should have said that in my first post.

Hello and sorry for the slow response
Replying to yourself makes it hard to spot threads that haven't been replied to. ;)

Regarding the DVB fix: I don't think it is a problem to run it multiple times, but after you run it you must not move the psis* files.
If you have moved them, I *think* simply rerunning the script fixes the problem. In other words, no need to uninstall. If you stop getting the psisdecd.dll warning then the patch should be okay. Again, make sure you don't move those files after running the script.

Regarding the no signal problems: it is really hard to know what might be wrong without log files. They're a standard requirement for support.
    1. Open TV Server configuration.
    2. Click "open log directory" in the top left corner.
    3. Zip up all the files you find there.
    4. Post the zip file here.

Hello, thanks for the reply, I decided to upgrade to Windows 7. Very shortly will start the installation process of mediaportal. I understand DVBfix is not an issue for Windows 7. I have all the TV signals with media centre, thanks. so I will post if I get any further installation problems.

    thanks again
