Hey agree,

Well I do have a SS2 but I also have a Nova-s (in other pc) and know someone with a nova-t. So was asking more cause I was just curious. Indeed, for myself with the SS2 I don't need the BDA way... But agree, what's what mario mentioned about a way to support more cards? Nova-s will be supported natively too ? (see post mario64 on this page)

Hope to see the plugin support soon! thnx agree :)

I cant say anything about that, cause i'm not on that topic.
Think you should talk to mario, frodo or bionic donkey about that.

Sorry, but: bump!

I didn´t yet get an answer to my very old question, if the plugin supports 2 cards. Would be nice to get one. Wink

mama!

I'm sorry, but i think i forget to answer to you...

So if you want to use 2 SS2-Cards that wont run since that is limited by the drivers. A internal PCI and an external (USB?) Device wont run too, it dont depends on the Bussystem.

I hope u got want u want to know...

Ok, thanks for your answer!

Will there be any way to record a channel while watching another like it´s possible with the analog cards? I know it is possible as long as the channels are on one transponder (right word in english?). But I´m more interested in recording any channel. It´s not a favourite for me, but would be good to know if there will be a solution a day, as I´ll install two plug sockets now in my living room.

If im ready with the plugins, i do some stuff on pip/rec a different channel. the other channel have to be in the multiplex of the current transport-stream.

Plugins-Support added

Ok guys,

i added today plugins support for mdplugins to mp.

you can NOT:
timeshifting/recording is NOT possible yet, due to an bug in streambuffer-sink.

you can:
viewing tv, use plugins for teletext,epg,....

you will need to:
download an add the 'SoftCSA.dll' (version 2.0.1.30) into mediaportal-folder.
make an folder named "MDPlugins" in mediaportal-folder and copy your plugins into it.
other required dlls/files depends on the plugins you want to use...

please post your experience with plugins here :)

the sites I found via google for softCSA look a bit, how should I say, ?illegal?.
softCSA seems to enable decoding pay-tv

Does that mean, the use of softCSA is illegal? Or is it a different dll with the same name?

and where can I get it?

regards

I think 2.0.1.20 should work, so please try and let us know. I added 2.0.1.30 to CVS since there are no limitations for use. if the author dont allow that, please let me know...

hi,

SoftCSA is an simply an 'wrapper'-DLL that loads MDAPI-Compatible DLLs. So it cant be illegal. SoftCSA dont decode anything, nor MediaPortal do that. All of that is up to other Software which will not include in MediaPortal ever!

Since MediaPortal isnt be able to get ECM-Pids you will never be able to decode Pay-TV without modifications. And that is NOT supported by Team MediaPortal. The only things are tested is Teletext and Epg-Plugins but for those there is no support from me anyway.
