    Hey guys.

    Ill think my DD card is dying, yes i havent kicked it out of my system since the last post 2015.
    I have made a workaround -> reboot server every week.
    That has stabilized things with DD cards in my system until now.

    Ill think card 1 is dying, log:

    16.11.2016 20:58:56 DDTuner Device 300:10000: Acquire DVB-C Tuner 1
    16.11.2016 20:58:56 DDTuner Device 300:10000: Start DVB-C Tuner 1
    16.11.2016 20:58:56 DDTuner Device 300:10000: Tune failure DVB-C Tuner 1
    Version = 2
    Error = C0000001
    Frequency = 746.000
    Multiplier = 1.000
    Symbolrate = 6900000
    Modulation = 0
    LockStatus = 0
    Strength = 0
    S/N = 0
    Quality = 0

    16.11.2016 20:58:58 DDTuner Device 300:10000: Stop DVB-C Tuner 1
    16.11.2016 20:58:58 DDTuner Device 300:10000: Release DVB-C Tuner 1

    Anyone using the "DVBSky T982" since 2013 without major issues?
    Ill thinking of buying a pair of these ;)

    thx

    This seems odd. Surely the frequency should be 746000 or multiplier should be 1000.
    Where did you get your tuning parameters from?
    That's from DDs Tuner log.
    After power down the server, pull the power cable for a few minutes the card is working again. When you Google it's a known hardware issue, seems I have to replace my card.

    I dosnt matter which frequency. Maybe it was an epg scan ;)
    Also with manual control in tvsetup.exe no channel whcih works on tuner 3 & 4 doesnt work on tuner 1 & 2.
    It just states "no signal" -> error in the log above. Both card are on the same cable.
    The issue is not solved by just restarting the machine.
    I have to power it down completely (also pull the power cord) for a few minutes.
    After that the tuner 1 & 2 came back to life -> dont touch other parts of the hardware.
    But how long... o_O

    Anyway, i have contacted DD support regarding this issue.

    Doy ou have long time experience with the "DVBSky T982"?
    Or is there no way around DD? :p

    Okay, if you say so. I only asked because I'm interested, and I've never heard about such a DD problem before.

    Both card are on the same cable.
    Just to clarify...
    Your forum profile system specifications say your TV Server motherboard is an ASUS P8H77-I and you have 2 x DD Cine CT v6. However, according to the ASUS web page, that motherboard only has 1 PCIe slot (x16). How have you managed to connect 2 PCI cards to one slot?

    The issue is not solved by just restarting the machine.
    I have to power it down completely (also pull the power cord) for a few minutes.
    After that the tuner 1 & 2 came back to life -> dont touch other parts of the hardware.
    In the past when I've experienced or read reports of such behaviour, the cause has been:
    • compatibility problem between tuner card and motherboard, OR...
    • overheating, OR...
    • driver problems
    Have you installed the latest drivers and BIOS for the motherboard and tuners?

    Anyway, i have contacted DD support regarding this issue.
    Please share the updates. :)

    No, sorry. I've never owned or used any DVBSky tuners.

    Or is there no way around DD? :p
    Sorry, I don't understand the question. What do you mean?

    I also never heard of this before it hits me :(
    When you google the error code C0000001 you find a bunch of it.

    Sorry its wrong and not up to date.
    I had two of those cards but had to RMA one.
    Then i bougth an DuoFlex Addon (tuner 3 & 4) for the Card which is connected to the pci card (tuner 1 & 2).

    In the past when I've experienced or read reports of such behaviour, the cause has been:

    The issue popped up wihtout changing my hardware (MoBo...)!
    So it looks like a issue of the DD card.

    Have checked BIOS & driver a few months back.
    Maybe there is a new one, will check it.

    Please share the updates. :)

    sure, i will ;)

    I meant: whats the best choice today to have an PCIe or network DVB-C tuner? ;)

    When you google the error code C0000001 you find a bunch of it.
    This is probably a driver-specific error code. If I'm right, those google results are probably misleading, and maybe only DD could tell you what it actually means.

    Sorry its wrong and not up to date.
    Ahhh, that makes sense. :)
    So is it the DuoFlex tuners that have the problem, or the Cine tuners?
    I've heard that some of the DD connector cables can be problematic...

    Oh, okay. I think that's a personal choice based on your personal definition of "best".

    Have now updated the driver from 2.6.0.108 to 2.6.3.132 and the BIOS from 1101 to 1102.
    But it seems that just support of newer hardware was added.
    We will see....
