When trying to install tv plugin on one of my computers
ï get this message(attached file). I've tested reinstalling windows two times
but it doesn't help. ???

You need to go here and update.

The C++ is out of date for VISTA installations that is included with MP I have found recently.

I'm not using Windows VISTA i use XP.

It may also be out of date for XP, I haven't run tests on XP recently but was fine on w2ksp4 but not VISTA.

Why not try, the link supplied used to be in the main MP download section, it was removed when the devs included the C++ redis in the main MP instal.

i had exacltly the same error as you and the update corrected it.

went on with continue and got no problem
found out that i didn't follow the installation the right way

- MediaPortal 0.2.3
- TvServer
- Tvserver Plugin
- SVN

solved it for me

Good to see that two users have had the same problem and resolved it.

Maybe the original author can try either/both and feedback results.

Sorry, i tried install, rebooting and so on but still i get the same message.

I got the same problem a few days ago.
went on with continue and got no problem
found out that i didn't follow the installation the right way

solved it for me

I can also choose continue and MP will start, but the subtitle function in TV won't work then.

I've installed mediaportal in the way you describde it burnett except for the TvServer which is located on another computer this is just a client. Is there another way that i can register this DVBSub2.ax file afterwards ???, cause Mediaportal runs just fine i just can't choose subtitles in My TV. I

've installed Media portal on 4 other computers and i've never had this problem before, the only thing that's different on the other machines is the hardware.
