Hi..

I can understand that some of you guys have succes with playback of .iso files under My TVSeries. The main issue for me is the playback.

I have ripped the DVD to filename xxx.s01e01.iso. The next DVD is called xxx.s01e05.iso. I can live with that there are "missing" episodes, as long as I know the DVD will start with the menu, where I can choose the episode. BUT....

When i launch the imagefile it does not play as it is supposed to. It will start somewhere in the middle of an episode, and it does not respond to me pressing the menu button on the mce remotecontrol.

All though the imagefile plays fine when I launch it with deamon tools in the MCE dvd-player.

Does anyone know an ansawer to the problem.

Best regards
Christian

Hi Christian, have you tried the built in MyVideos plugin to see if the same issue occurs?

I presume you setup MediaPortals default DVDPlayer to also use deamon tools? Perhaps there are some parameters you can pass to it that forces the menu on launch.

A few things come to mind.
The buttons not working is the same issue i have, It is playing in a 3rd party media player and not the media player that is built into MP.
And if it is starting in the middle i wonder if the player is just remember where you are at from playing the file earlier.
Just guesses at this point :)

On a side note once i get everything squared away i am planning on writing a guide on how to use hardlinks so you can see all your episodes from within MP. Basically hardlinks duplicate the file so you would just copy E01.iso 4 times and name them E02.iso E03.iso E04.iso but it doesn't use any additional space the 4 iso's take up only the size of 1 iso on your disk.

Ok Now I have tried in the My Videos section, and here it plays just fine, so the mounting and playback is ok.

The Problem must be somewhere in the plugin. JustusIV it sound brilliant, but do you think it will help me when the playback is the issue ?

    Any other suggestions ?
