Are you playing DVD from Moving Pictures? I'm asking because in log there is Moving Pictures log which says on the end of it:
Code:29-Apr-2011 15:06:45 Info [GUIListItemMovieComp]: Sort Field: Title Sort Direction: Ascending 29-Apr-2011 15:06:46 Info [ MoviePlayer]: Playing: Movie='Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1' FullPath='D:\video_ts\video_ts.ifo', VideoPath='D:\video_ts\video_ts.ifo', Mounted=False)
I was on this occasion. I'd tried many different things to get it to work.
Weirdly i have now fixed the problem via an odd series of events.
To keep it short..... Essentially i found a thread via google talking about the same generic error code for a hard disk. 1 post rather dubiously claimed that uninstalling the device via control panel had solved their problem.
So, out of desperation i disabled the cd drive in control panel then uninstalled it. Reebooted the pc, and let the system re-install the device (using the same drivers) and now everything works fine.
Its a very curious scenario since everything worked outside of mediaportal previously. So why it should be a driver problem i dont understand.
oh well....
At least its working now.
Thanks for everyones help! It's really appreciated.
