Hi All,

Been using Mediaportal 0.2.2.2 under Vista 32 with above hardware and semi-latest drivers successfully however I have upgraded to Vista 64 Ulimate and trying to get my Dvico Dual Digital 4 card to work (which shows in MP as a Bluebird BDA tuner)

Problem is when scanning, it wont find any channels at all. And trying to manually set them wont get them working either.

I have tried with the included software that came with card FUSIONHDTV and able to watch free to air however just cant get it working in MP

I have also tried in Mediaportal 0.2.3 RC2 latest SVN and still same so I dont know if its a 64 bit problem or if its a problem with compatibilty with latest Tv engine and MP release candidate?

I have tried downgrading to earlier version of drivers and no go.. It will try to scan channels and takes a long time but finds nothing.

It says the signal length is high but the quality has 0 reading.

Funny thing is in TV server, I also get two other tuner cards showing up - as well as the two for the twin tuner of the DVICO - they are analogue tuners but the card isnt a hybrid

Also in tv server the cards have a drop down box for CAM which shouldnt be there ?

Anyways Im going to try running 0.2.2.2 under x64 and see if tht works, anyone else had probs with this card?

Thanks!!

Does it work in Ultimates MCE.

Used to get that on a old version of TVE3, just delete the analogue tuners.

Can you run MP in 32bit compatibility mode.

    Hi thanks for the reply.

firstly how do you delete the analogue tuners as I couldnt see an option there for it?

And also an update, I installed MP 0.2.2.0 on the x64 box and still hd the same problem, couldnt tune DVB-T

So I thought ok, it's a 64 bit problem so here I am and I have rolled back to x32 and installed 0.2.2.3RC2 and it's still happening. AARRGGH!!

I am going to go back to my old setup from before x32 vista, 0.2.2.0 and the older driver versions.. That has to work doesnt it?

well bugger me I have installed back to MP 0.2.2.0 with the original drivers I was using before and still no go!!!

    This is so annoying..

I think I mentioned also that the card works fine with the app which it is shipped with - Fusion HDTV I can scan and watch live TV with this.. So why wont it work anymore. It wont even work with MCE either when it did before!!

Was that a reformat and install Vista\XP 32bit, as all the crappy old folders can still be there infuencing the new install.

You should only need the drivers installed as the Dvico software can lock onto the card and not let anything else connect.

yes a complete reformat and reinstall of vista32

im at the end now.. how can it be a hardware problem when the tuner works fine in fusionhdtc?

But wont work in MP or Media Centre

I am looking to purchase one of these Dvico Dual Digital 4 cards for use with Vista 32 bit. Did you ever get it going ??
I am interested in this card for the "Scheduled recording from PC-off mode"

    Scheduled recording from PC-off mode

Most will work with standby\hibernate which MP supports, Terratec Cinergy 2400i seems to have a good reputation driver wise, and no standby issues.

Dvico seem to have problems with slow channel changes against just about everyone else.
