No 2nd monitor support for dynamic refresh rate implementation is done (and not planned for 1.1.0).

ouff, thats a showstopper i did not expect. since its possible to define the monitor medieportal should startup, i expected it should not be that hard to take that as resolution change screen instead of the windows default one.

well i only see to set the tv as main display, use a 3rd party app to spawn all other windows on the 2nd screen. or anyone got a better solution?

    I have a good solution.
I use the software UltraMon. With ultramon you can create profiles.
I have created one profile where my desktop monitor is activated (and primary) and my tv i deactivated.
Before I start mediaportal I swich profile with my remote, so that my tv is activated (and primary) and my desktop monitor is deactivated.

Works very well for me. Also, apart from your problems with refreshratechanger on secondary monitor, I think MP always should be started on the primary display.
At least it gives med better performance.

thanks for your suggestion. the thing is mediaportal is always running :) but i think it was ultramon i used some years ago, with this i should be able to spawn all windows (except MP) on the second screen and lock them there, which is the main problem when working on the 2nd monitor.

ok, no window positioning possible with ultramon.

but i found Window Manager DeskSoft - WindowManager - Window position and size manager (not free:( ) and i am able to do the wanted with it.

for anyone who want to try this: i created 1 normal and 2 special rules:
    1. (the normal) mediaportal:ignore
    2. all (windows and captions), only one time: move to 2260x360
    3. all: remember position. for every window that spawns it creates it own rule

i'm still looking for a better solution (still got too many windows on the primary screen), but i think there is no satisfying one.
