Hi TNDAri,

do you still support this Plugin?
I like it very much. So it would be a pity if you don't support it any longer.

There is an option in settings of EasyApps to hide MediaPortal while the selected program is executed.
I noticed that the program will only be executed if this option is enabled.
If not, the program will not be executed.

Maybe you can take a look at it? Would be nice having MP in the Background.

I'm using one of the last SVN.

This plugin is superb for my setup I use the plugin to start dscaler. The reason i start dscaler is to play wii and xbox and other consoles. When I use dscaler and a BT software card I get no picture delay
But, since dshow don't accept any kind of system commands or commandline switches I can't find any way to end the application.

Is it possible to track and kill applications started from easyapps?

Hi Pirlone,

I also get an error when trying to use it with the latest SVN. It used to work with 0.2.2.0 but now fails. Guess it doesn't support newer versions.

Anyone with a recommendation how to start an external apps from MP? I don't want anything fancy, just something simple like EasyApps. I would like to be able to start things like Firefox etc.

untill EasyApps gets fixed you can try multishortcut plugin.
i'm using it and it works flawlessly. just be sure to d/l it from forum thread and not from download repository page.

I cannot run it with my SVN either. I'd like to have something easy to configure to run WebEPG.exe when I need to update my Program Guide when scheduled EPG update fails due to my internet connection not running.
