If you had enabled the Video Editor plugin you would see it in either the Home or the Plugins menu. The fact that its not appearing in either menu probably indicates that you havent enabled it.
Go back to MP config, go to Plugins, click on the Video Editor plugin and click on Enable, select either in HOME or in PLUGINS (wherever you want its menu item to appear) then click on OK.
Suggestion if you still can't find it:
1. attach screenshot of MPConfiguration showing the videoeditor
2. attach screenshot of your HOME menu
3. attach screenshot of your PLUGIN menu
4. attach mediaportal.log
I'm sure that you are at the point of pulling hair out of your head so lets hope that those attachments will help to identify what the problem is
In the window titled “Plugins” in "MediaPortal – Configuration" when I right click, the icon labeled "VideEditor" there is a tick beside “Enabled” and also a tick beside “Listed in home”. Therefore I assume that the "VideEditor" plugin is enabled. Is that so?
The Video Editor in Portal may be corrupted. Perhaps I may try using Windows Movie Maker to edit the videos. Do you think that should work all right?
