Encoder log? (1 Viewer)

Is there such a log file?

I am trying to use two analog TV tuners with software encoding (ATI AVIVO or WinDVR). The scheduled recordings are stopping after some time 10 ~ 40 min. I checked the MP filewriter and TV log/baks, there are no errors or entries which would explain this behavior.
The filewriter stops according his log the recording at the planed time.

So I have to assume, that encoding should be the problem.


I am using MP 1.2a since it has the encoder choice option.

Hi there

You have correctly identified the problem.
Unfortunately there are no logs that I know of for the encoders. It would be great to have them, however there is nothing that the MP developers can do to add logging since the encoders are provided by ATI, Intervideo, Cyberlink etc. It would be up to the encoder provider to add logging.
