Hello,
I've a very hard to reproduce problem with my TVServer installation. The TVServer is installed on a system that is running 24hours a day 7 days a week (so lets say always
). In generally it's working fine, but my FloppyDTV is crashing regularly, when I'm not at home, after a few days. When this happens the FireDTV Support Tool doesn't find the card anymore and even if I try to start timeshifting it doesn't work (no audio/video detected). The only thing that helps then is to shutdown (power off, no reboot) and restart the complete system.
I already contacted the support team from Digital Everywhere, but they said, that they can't help, because I'm using Win 2003. But I don't think that the problem is related to that, because in generally it is working fine. I think something bad is happening while the epg grabber is aktive, because this is the only thing that accesses the card, when I'm not at home and due to that not watching tv. When I have a look at the State of the FloppyDTV (TVServer->Manual Control), when the card (or driver?) was "crashed", it says "Grabbing EPG", which is also crazy.
I hope someone can help about this or maybe give some hints how to find the source of the problem. At the moment I've disabled the epg grapper to see, if the the problem is really related to this.
Best regards,
GhoSe
