epg grabbing issues again (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version: tvserver build 12783
Windows Version: Windows 2003 server
TV Card: Hauppauge Nova-T 500
TV Card Type: DVB-T

looks like the EPG grabber is not working agian for DVB-T.
it's saying card is not idle, but it is. the server is sitting idle at the moment with no clients connected to it and no recordings taking place.

maybe i was too hasty... after 30mins it had grabbed a partial EPG.
30mins does seem to be quite a long time though. my iDTV grabs the full EPG in under 5 mins.

still not sure why it was saying "cards not idle" though

I am seeing similar things and in fact even after 12 hours plus using 28/1/07 svn still had no guide data for BBC1

yes... BBC1 and BBC2 seem to always have a problem getting EPG.

strangely though BBC THREE gets EPG ok even though it is on the same mux as BBC1.

same behaviour at dvb-s. Less channels and incomplete over one night was grabbed

my problem is the german ZDF which is not grabbed completely using TV-server 3

As above the uK EPG isn't working again. SVN12799

Also if the Grab is interupted by a scheduled event then the WHOLE EPG database is wipped!!!

Why when more than one card is available doesn't the grab continue and the scheduled recording move to the next free card ?

Looking through the logs, it would seem the grab is not happening on the correct frequency for the selected MUX but from the next MUX frequency! hence the timeout and no grab.
