my clients would not work and I found by downgrading one version, all came good.
The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.

It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.

Describe the Problem you encounter as detailed as possible! "It does not work" won't help the team to understand the problem.
    Description:
The PC is a server and client. There are two other clients on a desktop and laptop in the private network.
The server PC is used solely for serving and viewing TV and recording TV.
Live TV works, so I know the Hauppauge card is working as confirmed by Device Manager and the aerial is connected properly.
Existing TV recordings can be viewed normally.
When in the Server software, TV Preview works correctly.
Everything has worked correctly until two(?) days ago when the EPG stopped and so no recordings are happening and it is hard to view live TV.

Describe as detailed as possible the steps that are required to encounter the issue. This info is critical for the team to understand the problem.
    Steps to Reproduce:
In the Server software, I did a Manual EPG refresh many times with no effect.
I did a Media Portal repair but it made no improvement.
Debug logs and PC/Windows specs are attached.
I am not an MP2 user, so this may not be the case for you, however, If you are using MC2XML to grab your EPG data, MC2XML stopped working after September 30, 2026. Therefore, the problem is with MC2XML, not MP2. The MC2XML project appears to be no longer supported by the original developer, and it also appears to be no longer updated, thus - DEAD.

I've been using MC2XML with MP1 for many years. By going to the web site for my schedule data provider, I found what looks like a better solution, however, I have not yet had time to implement it. I suggest that you browse to Schedules Direct and look for the section on MC2XML problems and follow the links to set up XMLTV to do all that MC2XML was doing for you. My plan is to modify my MC2XML batch file to run XMLTV and get my schedule data that way. XMLTV is an open source and free of charge project which appears to be maintained. XMLTV appears at least as capable as MC2XML if not more so.

    Good luck.

If I have time, I may post my experience setting up XMLTV somewhere in the MP forums.

This recent thread also relates to the discontinuation of MC2XML. The user in that thread eventually found a solution that works for him, although there probably exists more than one solution.
