I did a fresh install of MP1.2 but imported my TV Channels from a list exported from 1.1.2.

Even after waiting some hours (after ticking the fill holes, update existing entries and EPG grabbing whilst timeshifting and idle boxes) I had no EPG data for the current day or any following days. I then did a channel re-scan and deleted some duplicates, but still had no EPG data after several more hours.

The following day when I booted up, the EPG was properly populated, so it seems to be a problem for just one day, but annoying nonetheless.

Been a problem for some time, I find it can take more than an hour to populate the EPG even if I manually start timeshifting to force an EPG update. If I don't force it then all bets are off on when it will populate, seems to not always capture data till the 1st recording, which often gets skipped because the EPG's not yet populated!

It seems to help if I wait 15min while timeshifting then fire up MySQL Administrator and repair the database. Wonder if it's not committing the updates to the db in a timely way?

Another problem I can see is the explicit EPG update invariably picks one of the less reliable channels on UK Freeview. Could do with a way to hint to MP that some channels are preferred for EPG capture - BBC1 is usually fastest and most accurate on Freeview for instance, yet it always chooses some dodgy part time sales channel on a bad MUX.

I also see times when requesting a EPG update completely fails.
