First off I am new to Media Portal. I have been a long time MS Media Center user and finally decided it was time to make a change since MS decided to kill it off.

I have gotten Media Portal TV Server Setup on my server (win 2012 server and Yes I know it is not supported but it works and I am running virtual, but I am pretty sure the TV server is not my issue) and I am running the client on my desktop for the moment while I try everything out and figure out what my configuration looks like. I am pretty sure my TV server is set up correctly. I am using mce2XML and XMLTV to get Guide data from Schedules Direct for US guide data. I also have Emby and Kodi pointed to this Media Portal TV Server and both are showing guide data correctly and the times are lining up with when things are really on. When I run Media Portal and look at the guide the data is the same except all the times are showing to be 2 hours early (ie the 6pm news is showing coming on at 4pm).

I am thinking this as to be some kind of time zone issue or a setting somewhere cause the guide data looks good everywhere else. I have checked the obvious, time zone and time on the client PC as well as the Server PC. I have checked the XML file and the TV server Database and both look to show the correct time for a random sampling of shows. Is there a setting in the client I am missing. I have gone through the GUI Settings section as well as the Media Portal Configuration app and can't seam to find anything to correct this.

I see where I can shift the guide data in XMLTV but that then screws up everything. I can get recordings to record correctly right now, The visuals are just off in the guide.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello and welcome Scott :)

    Your situation sounds very unusual.

The times and timezones in the XMLTV file must be correct, as must the Windows time and timezone configuration on the server and each client.

    Can you please:
    1. Zip and attach the mc2xml tvguide.xml file that you're importing.
    2. Attach a screenshot of your XMLTV plugin settings (just the first tab).
    3. Attach a screenshot of the MP guide showing an incorrect program time.
    4. Attach a screenshot of the KODI guide showing the same program at the correct time.
