Episode Names and Series/Episode overviews will be auto populated (1 Viewer)

Is it possible to disable this? Because it messed up my home videos colletion (vacation videos etc).
I had named them My.Videos.s01e01.greece.avi
and so on
In tvseries they then got listed as show:My Videoes, and the episodes was named after the name I put in after the season and episode info. So thin one was called greece.

The problem is that now its just called Episode 1, episode 2 etc, so I cant find the episodes anymore..
I want tvseries to fetch the episode name from the filename again.

You can't disable it, but you can type your own episode name / description in configuration.

I saw that I could do that, but the old method was much better for me as I have a lot of videos named this way.. Well, just have to use an evening to fix it

I tried to change the name in configuration, but the new name doesn't show up in mediaportal my tvseries.

Strange, I will try reproduce later. If you change it on an episode that does have info does it work?

I suspect it might only be happening on episodes that dont have info so that will help me narrow it down.

sorry for taking so long to answer.

Tried it with a tv show that is in the thetvdb, and couldnt change the name there either. Its changed in configuration, but not inside tvseries.


tried to change the show description, and that worked fine.

Is there a chance you could make this new naming method optional in a later update? Or make it possible to choose naming method inside the configuration?

Or alternatively, could you give me a download link to the 2.6.9 version?
