For some reason, my MP TV Series does not seem to permanently record when I watch a TV show. It doesn't seem to matter if I actually watch it or if I right click on it and then click "Toggle Watched." I tried to search for a solution to this, but could not find one. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Also, this plug in is amazing. Thanks to everyone who worked on it.

Will the log be printed out to the same AppData folder where the database is stored?

Never mind, I found it. I opened MP TV Series, let it finish updating, waited about a minute, and then toggled one of the Psych episodes I have to watched. The only part of the log that was shown after updating was this:

00000012 - 10/8/2010 5:24:01 PM - Displaying 89 episodes from Psych

I was sort of expecting to see a database corruption error, but no such thing?
So when u toggle it to watched, does it refresh the page? Do you get any reaction at all?
Did you change the location of your database? Are you sharing the db file with other clients?
Try to switch to debug log (in mp-tvseries configuration) and repeat the process, then attach the entire (log)file. This way we can see the sql call itself being made, or not.

This sound like what im getting, as my list of show is getting out of hand :D its living on 4 different network locations and if any of them are offline and then comes up everything that lived on that location is now unwatched.

If i change the setting "Watch my import folder for changes auto" and scan remote shares every 5 mins to off then i dont have a prob.

I am running the current version 3rd oct and I have removed everything from the system n installed fresh (uninstalled MP, My TVSeries, SteamedMP Skin, Moving Pics) then removed anything left over, and tried again still no luck

will be trying a fresh system (new win7 x64) and a new hdd to see if it was hardware on my part (unlikely but who knows :))

Noticed a bug where episodes were being cleared from DB if it detected your share went down but it suddenly came backup and available again just as its doing the cleanup. Next time it treats your files as new and resets watched status (another bug imo, as you could remove the file and put it back later and expect it to still be watched).

The problem where it clears your files from DB will be fixed in v2.6.4. I may look at also addressing the watched state if you happen to really remove the file and then re-add it later.

    :D

for when u really remove it, what about keep the flag for x number of hours/days before it dumps it for good :D just a rdm idea

That's good to hear that it has been noticed.

In my situation, the database is being stored locally but the movie files are being stored on a remote computer. So this is most likely what is happening to me, but as far as I know, the file server is always on while the HTPC is on. I do hibernate the HTPC instead of turning it off, but that doesn't really seem like it would be the cause.

I agree that if an episode is deleted then re-added, it should still be marked as watched. I do this a lot when I take a standard def file and replace it with a high def file. A random idea that I had, how about making an option that will make any episode that has been previously ranked on TheTVDB.com automatically be marked as watched. My logic is that if you have ranked the episode, then you have probably watched it, and I know that I rank every show after I watch it. This would probably require the least amount of code modification and account for if a file is deleted and then re-added to the database.

Just a though. Thanks for the hard work. I'll keep an eye out for the update.

Yeah, I will fix that as well for v2.6.4.

Already is, I use it to sync my watched state between 2 pcs in the house. Look under General Tab in configuration, cant remember the exact name but I believe is: "Mark episode watched if rated online"
