    Hi,
The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.
This is an TVDB error (most likely their server is down again, did happen really often) and leads to that:
Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Episodes2TVGuide\Cache\290490-en.xml'

@lightshock is working on a new version with a different kind of caching so such errors should'nt be an issue later,

By the way, I can imagine that WIndows completely prevents E2T to download files into "C:\Program Files (x86)" so a first step is to move it out of the Windows system folders... I would suggest something like "C:\EPG\" or similar,,,

    Hi there,

The file permissions are fine, the cache is being built (there are files being placed in the directory). Looks like the program is failing to retrieve data and subsequently write the cache file? Hopefully the new version will have better file handling :)

I'll disable Episodes2TVGuide until a fix is released.

I tried this yesterday and got exactly the same error, think the program it stopped on was bbc news. I got around it by creating an empty xml file of that name where it wanted it, works ok now but i assume it will be skipping the data for bbc news.

    Hi there,

    Yes, it was BBC News.

I've just done a similar thing (used another xml file and renamed it)

    Hi
If TVDB did not send data at all its not the fault of E2T. Only to throw an unhandled exception is.
    Is BBC News a series?
Im on train right now, so I can not investigate further

BBC news is on tvdb yes but whether it is or not the app should just log the error and continue. :)

    Hi,

at the moment i'm developing the new version of E2T. This version includes support of TVDB and TMDB and will combine the informations from each provider.
Also the grabbed infos will be saved in a database. And you can choose which channels E2T will grab. So, the new version will be much faster.
But I need some time, sorry.

I started having troubles with imports for TVGuide.
When I run it manually I get an exception.
I do not know how long this has been happening because I have a task run it at 1am
Here is a screenshot of where it stops and the exception window info

Addition: I have run this 2 more times and it always throws the error in the exact same spot

    Hi.
This can happen by a faulty entry in the EPG data. Most likely some "bad" characters in one description. Most of the time this is repairing itself without further action.
But we are working on a much more comfortable solution in meantime. In some days I will PM you for help and later testing with US EPG data nevertheless...
