I've done a fresh install of MediaPortal because it's been crashing constantly, which included uninstalling SQL server and MediaPortal itself. Now whenever I install MP and run the TV-server Configuration I get the error message "Failed to create the database". This happens after I enter the password.

I've uninstalled SQL 3 times and nothing is working. Can anyone help me?

I have exactly the same problem. Reinstalled, could enter password and test was OK. Saved and now nothing other than "Failed to Create Database Error"

Well, after a lot of looking around I finally found the solution...

I had tried deleting the database files and could see the TV server recreate the files, but it still stuck at the cant create database error.

The solution for me was to uninstall the TV Server and database and then reinstall it. Worked perfectly.

Now I've mapped the Escape key to my remote MediaPortal is becoming very usable.
