I have a couple of problems, but before asking for help, I'd like to research myself as much as possible.

Where is the log file? I've seen people mention error.log a few times, but a search on my pc doesn't find "error.log" anywhere on my drive. I looked through the configuration, but can't find anything to specify a log file.

Well, it turns out that the Windows search function can't be trusted. I just manually walked through the Documents and Settings folder and found it.
