Error when turning on TV (1 Viewer)

Hello, I started to have an error when turning on TV. I have no clue what is causing it but it was working before.
The symptoms are that when I turn on TV, sound starts for a second and then stops, image is never visible. After that if I try to turn it on a second time I get a error box with "unable to play live2-0.tsbuffer.

EDIT: one thing I just noticed when perusing through the logs, it looks like its trying to use VMR9 even though I have selected EVR in MP Settings, not sure if this is normal...

I think the first error in MediaPortal.log is associated with teletext - so try disabling that first. Also the TsReader log is for an old, experimental version - please use the standard MP 1.2.3 version.

hmm, seems like you have something wrong with Default DirectSound Device. Did you update sound drivers, installed a codecs pack or something like that?

Edit: Also make sure that "Default DirectSound Device" is selected as audio renderer in codecs page(MediaPortal Configuration)

You could try running MP in debug mode (which uses the default skin and disables all third-party plugins) and see if it still goes wrong - http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDIAPORTAL_1/18_Contribute/2_Testing_and_Bug_Reports/WatchDog

Note that 'TsReaderPlayer' is the TV player in MP - it's not the same as TsReader.ax

Have you tried re-installing MP 1.2.3 ? (and manually stop TV Server before doing this, just in case the upgrade failed in some way last time).

I didnt update sound drivers nor install codec packs, I'm still configuring this system so I actually installed codecs, can we assume a codec would not affect direct sound renderer.
Default Direct Sound Device is selected, I tried manually selecting other devices, both waveout and directsound but I still have the same result.

did you try as Owlsroost said(re-installing) if not try that & attach a set of new logs to your post.
Installing codecs can affect audio renderer if they come with they're own which overwrite system installed which where from drivers...
