Did you try the 196.21 driver version?

in case anyone runs into the same issue.

I'm now using nvidia drivers 196.75

The proper timing info that I found to get 24.976 playback is as follows:

active pixels horizontal: 1920 vertical: 1080
front porch horizontal: 638 vertical: 4
sync width horizontal: 44 vertical: 5
total pixels horizontal: 2750 vertical: 1124
    polarity horizontal: positive vertical: positive
    refresh rate: 24.978

    for 59.94:
front porch horizontal: 88 vertical: 4
sync width horizontal: 44 vertical: 5
total pixels horizontal: 2200 vertical: 1124
    refresh rate: 59.942

    for 29.97:
unverified (my projector cannot output at this refresh rate)
front porch horizontal: 638 vertical: 4
sync width horizontal: 44 vertical: 5
total pixels horizontal: 2750 vertical: 1124
    polarity horizontal: positive vertical: positive
    refresh rate: 29.972

50hz and 25hz do not seem to have any issues.

Could you please edit the values in bold cause i think you mean 23.976 and not 24.976, also could you tag your post as "fixed" so other members that might have the same issue with you could find the solution faster here.

    Thanx in advance.

The values in bold are correct. The nvidia drivers are wacky, and that's what it takes to get the correct refresh rate.

I have a ticket open with nVidia, and someone who is friends with a driver dev will be bugging them to fix it as well.

Well if this is the case then this is a major NVIDIA bug under windows VISTA/7 cause this is not the case with windows XP.
