AW: Re: Experimental TsReader development

If it can be established that a change has broken something with enough people, hopefully nevcairiel will put it right, or at least acknowledge it, there are some recent post involving HDTV now giving problems.

Do you have any examples for this ?

I haven't had any feedback yet (on v35) from anyone with the RTSP 'infinite loop on channel change' problem (produces black screen/no sound) - is it any better with v35/v36 ?

    Hi Tony,

sorry i missed the feedback. I have tested v35

    UNC / dshowhelper 92 / LAV Filters 0.42 - CUVID enabled

--> TV starts without problems, but then the graph ( SHIFT + 1 ) starts jumping up and down. This combination doesn´t work for me. I have no Log´s at this moment, but you have the same setup ( GT430 ) on a Multiseat solution. So maybe you could repeat this problem ?

    /Daniel

My HTPC (with the GT430) runs singleseat - I can run client-server for testing, but that's over Wi-Fi to a laptop with Intel HD graphics (so no CUVID and limited network bandwidth....)

I'd like to see the logs + render stats screen cap if possible :) - I have a thought about a mod that *might* help to reduce the network traffic, but try v36 first (which should generate less traffic anyway than v35).

    Hi Tony,

thx for the new version. I had a small test yesterday. It runns very well.
At first i had some problems to get it running. Sometimes some spikes.

I have set a Power-Plan on my HTPC. Everything on High-Performance ... but not the CPU Power.
This was on min 5% max 100%. I have changes this then to min25% max100%.
After this the spikes i have seen before where gone.

So this new version runns very well with LAV 0.42 CUVID enabled. The lines ( SHIFT + 1 ) where never better. Thanks Tony.

I am still having trouble but I think it is more to do with my settings. Can anyone suggest the best starting point for MP 1.2.1 final with an Nvidia ION2? I have been using the default codecs (with a little experimentation) but that hasn't succeeded.

The symptoms are a very slow start to TV (DVB-T), a black screen for 10 seconds or more, and bad stuttering on hdtv.

For me the last 3 Versions dont run good.
I have very offen after channel change thats the picture freeze on the channel ehere i come from and the audio is gone.
With the original tsreader works this situation perfect.

    Follow codecs i use.

1st test LAV 0.42 Video and Audio
2nd test powerdvd11 video and ffdshow audio
3rd test powerdvd11 video and LAV 0.42 Audio

    dshowfilter original 1.2.1

Maybe people should start posting what video and audio codecs they are using when providing the logs. I believe codecs are often the culprit.

OK, thanks - I think I know where the bug is... :)
