I have a problem that I think is caused by tsreader. If the smartcard for some reason (busy, disconnected, etc) misses a ecm the picture naturally freezes. But if the next ecm (after ~10 seconds) is ok, the picture is still frozen. I need to skip a little backwards and then skip forward over the frozen part to keep watching. This also applies for recordings.

Can you post some logs showing the problem ?

I can second that with the normal TsReader, don't know about this version.

Yes, the standard TsReader.ax does have a problem, but the 'noStopMod' versions in this thread should be OK.

    Hi Tony,

I believe that with this last version (44) i have random freezes, then slow motion and then recovers.
You can see this problem in the evr.log at 23:43:04 and earlier.
Don't know for sure if it's tsreader related but that's the only thing i change often :)

    Greeting,

    Wouter

Your log is actually for TsReader v43 ;)

But I'd take a look at why you have these lines in the MediaPortal.log every 30 sec:

    Code:
    2012-02-01 23:29:32.098596 [Info.][(16)]: FRITZ!Box Manager: PhoneBook: Synchronized 30 contacts with FRITZ!Box

    hey,

some bad news :( The problem with the live-recording is still present... Error was ~19:57 (just have a look at the end, didn't start watching again after the stop)
but the black screen problem seems to be gone :p

Using nostopmod44 and LAV filter 0.45 with the quicksync decoder i get no picture only sound. Using LAV 0.45 with software or DXVA2 no problem.

LAV 0.45 with quicksync no problem with original tsreader.ax but i get the random freeze going from SD to HD.

Attached logs using both original tsreader and nostopmod44. Both using LAV 0.45 quicksync.

Is there a way to save a ts file from the tsreader? Might be a quicksync-decoder issue, so it could be reported back to the developer.

    Thanks

If you need a sample .ts file, just make a very short recording.

There's nothing obvious in the 'quicksync' logs (and I don't have a system with the right hardware to try it out myself).

Does it happen if you play a .ts file locally (not via RTSP) ?

(You can play .ts files with the video player in MP for testing - it should still use TsReader.ax as the splitter filter)

It's not the same problem as last time - it's just got to 'end-of-file', possibly because handling the continuity errors has used up the 'buffer' time (end of file 'time' - current 'time').

Not much can be done about that (other than blocking seeks too close to EOF) - when playing a recording, reaching EOF means it will stop, but when timeshifting it will ignore EOF (timeshifting files are assumed to be endless).

    Hi,

I encouter the same probleme here on a UNC setup. As mentioned by olavm no problem with the regular TSReader.ax.
