63b ts-reader ---- > fast and smooth channel change (FTA & nFTA)

that friend of mine just called and told me -
that since we changed from 59b to 63b - after a while
tv just stoppes with a blank/black screen and nothing happen anymore.
that happens not while channel-change .. happens on nFTA and FTA.

i know that withouot any logs help is very very difficult ...
so just see it as a hmm info

on my sytem - i don't have that issues
system are near same hardware (E350)...
he is using singel-seat
i am using multi-seat.

Just for info, i'm using on two clients (multiseat) the new tsreader and all is working ok from 3 days of intense use sd & hd , fta & encripted.

The changes from 59c to 63b are quite small, so maybe you should try your friend with 59c (and report back please) ?

Which video decoder is your friend using ?

I can't be sure but I think 63b causes problems with decrypting channels. Since I've updated it, if I resume my HTPC, start MP and go to an encrypted channel, it takes longer than normal and I get a black screen with sound. Then if I change the channel, I usually get an "ActiveMovie" window pop up above MP, which is again black. I have to stop and start TV playback to get the video to appear.

EDIT: Just rolled back to 59c and restarted my HTPC, and this time it worked fine so looks like it is probably to do with 63b. Annoying, cos 63b is otherwise better.

TsReader.ax doesn't have anything directly to do with decryption - that is handled at the TV server end of the system. I'd be interested in the logs with 59c and 63b installed (so I can compare the two situations).

Alright I'll try to get some at the weekend when I have the TV to myself!

EDIT: OK, I witnessed the same problem after reverting to 59c so the problem lies elsewhere!

The last version of the tsreader breaks my recordings. So it takes ages that something happend ... sometimes 1.3A hangs. If i replace the orginal 1.3 everything works as expected
