Not so nice as now it wont be possible to debug the DVB subtitle issues within GraphEdit. I would much more prefer to be able to debug the issues with GraphEdit (much faster) than have a workaround for some 3rd party application that the filter is not build for in the first place.
I would much more prefer to have a filter that works properly than one that connects in an unsafe/unstable manner, just so you can load it into a 3rd party application that the filter is not even built for in the first place.

I understand your point, but the TsReader (or any other MP filter) is not designed to work in any other 3rd party application. My free time is better spend on MP related tasks than supporting some 3rd party softeware (that might even violate GPL lisencing by using MPC-HC GPL code). But this is completely off topic and should be discussed in some other thread.

    Hi guys,

I suddenly got problem out of nowhere

Have been using 59c and all TV server+client on same machine installation for months and everything went fine. Yesterday it started to stutter and TSreader shows compensations a lot.
On other client systems everything works fine. So no question about TV server. Other client works on UNC.

Help please?! or "wife-factor" will do the rest :(

    Tony,

In the logs at 18.04 hours i get completely no picture (mediaportal.bak). Just black tv image. Not responding in windows too, and this a few days in the week. Have to kill Mediaportal. Can you try to see what's going on?

    Greetings,

    Wouter

Sorry, no idea - the logs just stop (and no crashes etc reported in the system/application event log) just before - I suspect - the video decoder should start up.

Have you tried a different video decoder ?

Have the video card drivers been updated recently ?

I think you are right Tony, driver changed with Windows update, also changed audio decoder to lav and looks good now. No TSreader problem. Sorry to have bothered you. Hope you can take a look at my question in private conversation about mpaudiorenderer/evr presenter.

    Greetings,

    Wouter

So what's the situation with these test versions and MediaPortal 1.3.0 Alpha? Are the changes in 59c implemented in that or do we need to still use the custom version here? Is the custom version here even compatible with 1.3.0 Alpha?

MP 1.3.0 Alpha has a version of 59c included, so no need for the version from this thread.

The 59c in this thread is a 'universal' version that will work with both 1.2.x and 1.3.x (the differences only affect DVB subtitle support - this has changed in 1.3.0).

Not necessarily, but unless any big issues pop up during the 1.3.0 testing period I'm planning to leave TsReader.ax alone for a while, at least until 1.3.0 gets to a release version. I also want to do a 'DWM' version of the 1.3.0 dshowhelper next.....;)
