Hi,

I have setup a dual boot on my HPTC, having Windows 7 RC1 installed and working fine. Have installed my gpu, audio and firetdv drivers etc.

However, trying to install MP 1.0.1 does not work. The installer runs fine until it identifies that DirectX9c is "old" and need to be uninstalled and replaced. Clicking "install" at this point cause the installer to fail with "failed to uninstall DirectX9c", and the installer exists with no actions done.

Is there any way around this? Win 7 have DirectX11, so this step should preferably just be skipped.

Regards

M

You need to install the directx9 redistributable, or use disaster123 version which does not use the deploy tool, I would try the first option.

Remember Win7 is not officially supported, but there are a few posts regarding fixes, just search win7.
