[fixed] Failed to record all of a scheduled program (1 Viewer)

I set the record up for Dr Who at 18:10. The system woke up 5 minutes early and started to record properly but then stopped after a few minutes - video file very short.

[I came in around 9:30 and the system was busy - fans on and I think I had to stop everything to unlock it]

Looking at the tv-log everything looks good but it is clearly stuck towards then end. The trswriter appearas to lose something soon after starting to record.

Unless I am missing something these logs are for a different day

No mention of Doctor Who in there and it appears you scheduled a recording of Big Bang Theory around 18:00.

Nothing related to what you are saying...

EPG tries to use the the card doing the recording.........

OK I had "grab EPG while recordng/timeshifting" set but surely that doesnt mean epgcan pinch an active card and the entry

I have in stalled the new tvservice and left the system to do lots of records. However since I stopped radio EPG and changed the EPG grab to disallow grab during record I have not had a problem.

Will check the logs tonight......

You wont get this error then because it fixes interference between recording and epg grabbing

It would be good if you could change these settings back and re-test with the file romuz provided. This will tell us if the problem has really been fixed.

hi, looks like I still have a problem. EPG is on but only for TV - radio EPG off (I think the logs were showing the radio EPG interfering).

I set the system up to record periodically through the day. From the tv log

the first program started OK. Despite lots of powerscheduler entries it stopped as expected:

(I installed the new file by stopping the tvservice, renaming the old on as xtsservice.exe and copyng in the new one, starting the tvservice - hope that is enough)

Odd. Your logs looks different then mine (like old one)
Anyway could you try new one please and post logs.
Nothing changed but verbose logging added.

Looks like i have got it, on 1 card configuration.
i have to add more strong restriction to epg grabber
Never mind for now.

Well done

Now epg grabber has taken out of business earlier and would not interfer with recording.
As always test it and provide results to us.

In addition check that epg grabbing still works
