Same error here anno 2008

I found this info.

All you need to do is get these files
sbe.dll
sbeio.dll
wmvcore2.dll

(you can find them at dlldump.com)

These should be put in your C:\windows\system32 directory

Then type these two lines into start/run or cmd.

regsvr32 sbe.dll

regsvr32 wmvcore2.dll

Hi all,

After installing Service Pack 3 (SP3) today, uninstalling ffdshow and updating my video card drivers I now also have the Failed to start timeshifting Unable to create graph error when trying to view a TV channel :-(

I've tried the following:

- revert to previous video card drivers
- reinstall ffdshow
- revert to default codec's for MP (MPV for video & MPA for audio)
- copy wmvcore2.dll to C:\windows\system32 directory and regsvr32 wmvcore2.dll (other 2 .dlls were already there)

but I still get the error. I also consistenly get the ...graph error when trying to edit the capture card in mediaportal configuration. Windows says the device is working properly and all channels are assigned to it.

Any ideas? :D

Fixed!

Luckily I was able to solve this myself by doing the following:

1) Uninstalling SP3
2) Reverting to older catalyst drivers
3) Uninstalling Hauppage TV card driver

After a reboot it was still installed but the TV channels had started working again. After that I could reinstall SP3 without a problem.
