Failed to start TV No tuning information (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am new to mediaportal and I'm really struggling getting mytv to work at all. I've been into the MP setup and found my card, I performed an autotune and it found all the channels in my area OK. However when I go into mytv in MP I cannot start the tv and I get this message "Failed to start TV No tuning information".

My card is a hybrid "MSI TV@nywhere A/D" and I want to use this tuner for analog stations.

I am very confused at the moment and would appreciate any help offered.

I have that problem from time to time, but usually is only for one channel at times, i dont know why it happens neither - only thing that works for me is manually add new channel(on analog card) and auto on my digital card.

Could it be that only the digital compoment of this card is working in MP?

Does anyone know if this card works? If it doesn't, I can look at upgrading to another analog tuner card that will work with MP.

I get same error with KWorld DVB-T 310U hybrid usb tuner!!
In the initial setup MP detected both digital/analog sides of the card, and detected channels ok (actually I stopped the scanning before the end, but 45 analog channels were detected by then and all seemed ok, even the preview windows).
But when I go to My TV i get the same error. NOT TUNING INFORMATION FOR XXX, whatever channel I choose.

Somebody can help???

Try using a different codec, Hybrid cards can be a pain in the backside. Maybe get a DVB-T card to use to get Free-To-Air channels, check its compatible with Media Portal.

I think a different codec and adjusting the configuration in MP should solve your problem. ^_^

I have no digital signal, just analog cable.
I've tried many codecs (Avermedia, Hauppauge, Dscaler, Intervideo) but same results.
The strange thing is that in the setup everything works perfect, even the channels preview... but in the main app... no success by now.

hmm odd... not sure tbh. All i can think is a problem with MP then as the card obviously works fine. Take it you've tried to reinstall MP?

I have been using MP for almost a year now and i have had these problems on and off but have not been able to resolve them... rebooting the machine usually resolves the problem for the specific channel, but then another channel has the problem... BUT, you are saying that the channels work in preview... where is the preview function? I thought i knew most of the stuff in MP, but that is clearly not the case...
