if its allways hanging on the same artist then remove that artist from mp mymusic directory/database. then redo music database then rescan.
this will help discover artist error vs' maybe a file limit error.

Have you had any funny issues with music tracks dissappearing from the database since using fanart handler?
I a couple of times some of my albums were listed with missing tracks, and I had to rescan the database... not sure if this was caused by fanart handler or something else.

The version being released will be 1.3. Current status is that we have a few outstanding "undocumented features" that I think is resolved but needs verification from the ones reporting the issues. A big, big thank you to the "test team" for all the tests and re-tests You have really put in alot of work helping me sorting out all the remaining issues.

A changelog from 1.2RC2 -> 1.3RC1 would help with testing

Thanks for the suggestion....

I removed 2 albums containing Ricky Martin. It knocked my music db down to 1390

Scraping hung again... but on 1309. "found fanart for artist toto"

I hadn't noticed any disappearing tracks.

You could also try only having ricky martin in the DB and nothing else.

Next I removed 5 albums containing Toto

1275 artists now in the music db.

scraper hung on 1216

'found fanart for artist vanessa williams'


There is no pattern to it, it seems. I never had problems completing a scrape like this before this version

It appears that apparently 'bad' images at HTBackdrops were skipped in previous versions, but cause hangs in this one... YAY! It's gonna be fixed!

Hi,

Just to let you all know that we have one issue that I so far has been unable to resolve. I work on this and hope it will be solved soon. But this probably means that I will not be able to keep my promise to release the new version of this plugin this weekend. The issue is to big to not solve before releasing. I'll get back as soon as I have solved this issue.

Hi kiwijunglist,

Issie 55 in the issue list. The issue is critical as this plugin affects other plugins. I cannot release it like that. I have a solution but it will take some time to implement.

i'm using X-factor skin and updated fanart handler with the 1.0 version.
i put all my fanart into the folder

C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Skin FanArt\music

but always the default one is displayed.
Attached is my log, can you pleade give advices?
