I'm pretty sure the plugin supports a difference by 1x character

or even better, just upload the fanart to htbackdrops, so everyone can use it.

hmm when I try to install the plugin I geht this message (see attach).
The Plugin is definitly not in mp configuration nor in the process folder

Goto c:\program files\team mediaportal\mediaportal

Find the old MPI or MPE installer .exe run it
then browse to the plugin files.

Thanks for the suggestion kiwijunglist but although the image is imported into the fanart db, it does not display. The artist ends up as ACDC or AC DC.

Normally I would add missing images to htbackdrops but the fanart handler will not download a lot of my artists (when there are images available). I have just starting to fix this issue. At least I can manually download from htbackdrops as a work around (except for AC/DC)

I'm confused, Black Glass have an update for FanArt Handler 1.5, but I thought it had not been released yet.. ???

there seems to be a few rare instances that there are issues with 1.5, Some skin designers may feel that the version is stable enough for distribution with their skins, even though it has not been 'officially' released.

cul8er is busy trying to track down where the problem is, but on all of his test machines he has not been able reproduce it. In fact, the behavior is unpredictable on both my own machines, mostly not working as it should, then quite suddenly, working again, then as suddenly, not.

If it is working for you, WONDERFUL!

If not, please run some tests and record as many steps and conditions as possible to help track down what is causing the problem.

Hi,

Yes, version 1.5 is not released yet. I have a version that has a known bug in it that I'm trying to resolve. If anyone want to join in the fanart handler team as a active test member please send me a PM. I would love if we can put together a group of about three people that can spend some time testing new releases.

Hi jimwin,

Not currently. And the reason for this is that any skin files for Blue3Wide would overwrite the myMusic, MyVideo (and so on) skin files. But if anyone creates skin files for it I will be more than happy to make it available as a separate download linked from the front page.
