Hi,

I was just testing this plugin, looks great!

However, I have a small issue; was searching in this thread, but did not find an answer:

I tried to manually add some fanart pictures (Import local fanart). As I used the original artist name which includes a "&", I realized that this was not working (saw the thread where this is mentioned too late).

After correction of the "&" to "and", it works. However, I still do have in "Fanart Overview" the old artist with the "&".

Any chance to get rid of it? I tried with reset, cleanup and uninstall/reinstall, but the (wrong) artists in Fanart Overview do not disappear.

Hi again, found the solution: Deleted the wrong artists with SQLite Database Browser; anyway, maybe it would be an option for a further release to allow these corrections within the configuration.

i update my mod for Blue3widw skin, music now playing with fanart handler , the plugin intergraide only in music playing now
and not in all the skin .... this mod's are in Full Color Fanart.

Hi,

Next version of this plugin will support downloads of music artist thumbnails from htbackdrops. So if you have time over, start adding nice artist thumb images to the htbackdrops site

I have some few issues with this.
If I start the scraper in the music section, nothing happens. It does not import anything, and my music database is updated? Why is this?

Maybe I should mention, that I tried to scrape manually and i started, but cancelled the process since it took a very long time, so I would to it another time.

Hi,
I'm having a curious problem with Fanart Handler, which I'm new to. I've got fan art scraped for most of the artists in my music library. What I'm finding though is that in MediaPortal when browsing the library I'm not seeing the artwork for all of the artists that I know artwork has been downloaded for.

For instance, I see the default image (mixing desk) for Coldplay, which has 3 backdrops downloaded. Backdrops for other artists are shown correctly. Then there are a few which don't have artwork downloaded but where MediaPortal shows the downloaded backdrop for another artist entirely. It's most odd!

My symptoms then boil down to this:
- Some artists for which art exists show only the default backdrop;
- Some artists for which art exists show the correct art as expected;
- Some artists with no downloaded artwork show art for a completely different artist;
- Some artists with no downloaded artwork show the default backdrop which I'd expect.

All my music is tagged with ID3v2.3+ and I've checked that they're all correctly tagged to the best of my knowledge. I've also gone through them all including Album Artist as well as Artist but this has made no difference. I've also rebuilt the music library (not just changed files) in MediaPortal and this has also made no difference.

Any ideas what's up here? I don't really know where to begin looking

Oh, I'm using MP 1.1.0, Streamed MP 1.3.0.1800, Moving Pictures 1.0.7, and FanArt Handler 2.1.1.13899.

Hi ScoobyMP,

Your first port of call would be to check the Manage Fanart section for Music in the plugin, double chekc that the the names match the tags or filename if using shares view then check the fanarthandler.log log file for errors and matbe post this.
