Hi cul8er!

I have just updatet from version 2.3.1.530 to version 3.0.7! After opening config, FH 2 now hangs since ~2h at the Initializing splash screen! There are no log entries so far! Could you please help?

Edit: It doesn't hang, FH2 is working, because the new FanartHandler.db3 is getting bigger and bigger. The old database was 1,46 MB, the new one is now already ~62 MB!

Thanks for reply! I have tried it again! FH2 Config hangs on Splashscreen (yesterday for more than 3h). The only log-entries i have found are in FanartHandlerConfig.log:

Furthermore i have noticed, that FH2 is not working propper here. Log is attached! If i playback music with artist "Daniel Barenboim", FH2 should show FanArt of "Daniel Barenboim", i have stored in D:\MediaPortalThumbs\Skin FanArt\UserDef\music\, but i doesn't work. Log entry:

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. Can you please check how many files you have in your "MediaPortal\Thumbs\Music\Albums" directory. It looks like the FH plugin never finishes its initial load of local thumbs. That would be the reason for the failure to find the fanart for Daniel B also. Please let me know how many thumbs you have in that directory and also if the directory is stored locally on a harddrive or on a remote drive.

Would it be possible to zip your fanarthandler.db3 database?

Thanks for reply! The directory is stored locally! In it there are 50.232 thumbs (1,32 GB)!

Wow, I think I will need to implement this in another way. Current implementation will never work as it tries to load all entries on startup. will change it to load the first 1000 and add "next" buttons Bad implementation on my part...

Hi cul8er!

After upadating from version 2.3.1.530 to version 3.08, unfortunately i notice the same issue. First startup of FH2-Config takes too long. FanartHandler.db3 and FanartHandler_config.log become larger and larger and FH2-Config seems to hang at splashscreen "Initializing"!
FanartHandler_config.log is attached!

Hi,

I have only "fixed" the loading times for when your are already on version 3. Will take a look at the upgrade procedure as well and make this threaded. New version later today.
