Hi Andrew, testing Fanarthandler 4.0.2.224 and get this message in log:

[2016-03-03 10:40:46,657] [Error  ] [MPMain   ] [ERROR] - LoadCharactersNames: Error loading characters from folder: \Media\Logos\Genres\Characters\ - Ein Teil des Pfades "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\PureVisionHD 1080\Media\Logos\Genres\Characters" konnte nicht gefunden werden.

What are those "Characters"?

On careful examination. To be more precise small decoration/joke for genres icons.
