I couldn't find the way to display fanart on selected item in the music section....but in the Videos section works awesome...

It's working for me. #selecteditem holds the selected artist so it should work the same. Even "now playing" is still working for me.

Do you guys know if there's anyway to kinda combine all the images in one place? Like for example the fanart of MP-TVSeries is located somewhere in
C:\Documents and Settings (for xp that is)
but the tv backdrops themselves are stored in program files (default mp install dir). Can't these two directories somehow become one? Might save some diskspace

I have found before that everytime i add new plug in to xfcace or any other new skin it always never works the way it was meant to..

This is no plugin, in fact this is a hack imo.

It even comes with bugs (that is, for me at least). After scrolling thru my music a couple of times with the "solution" I cameup with the basichome backdrops sometimes are just black (using aeon wide as a skin here). Anybody else experiencing this?

This'll do the trick... 2 bad these things will get overridden when you're using the aeon editor so you'd have to place them in manually. This bit of xml (from watchmenu) shows the backdrops from MP-TVSeries
and as this might seem a little silly it does work Absolute paths for some reason are not accepted.

the hack works great ! thanks for that...

one question, as you already know, the image should have the same exact name as the selected item which sometimes is only the artist and sometimes is the artist+album name, right?

So, do you know any trick to get only the name of the artist selected instead of the entire artist+album label? this way I can get only 1 image per artist and not 1 per album.

Well no not exactly. I have the same deal as you are having atm. Some are artist, some are artist-album.
The ones that are only artist, are sitting in a folder that has the artist name. The ones that are artist-album are sitting in a folder that's called artist-album. So logically setting up your music share folder structure like this : "\artist\album" would do the trick but haven't tested it myself yet.
