Hello,
I am using mediaportal 1.1.0 final/WinXPSP3 without any problems until yesterday. Now my problem ist when i start my singleseat system i can´t start live tv. In the logfile appears following errormessage
2010-09-02 19:40:27.125000 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: Exception ystem.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'Gentle.Framework.ProviderFactory' threw an exception. ---> Error: NoConfigStoreFoundUnclassified
Gentle.Common.GentleException: FATAL ERROR: No configuration store was found!
Gentle is unable to continue!

The handlers emitted the following error messages:
Unable to create GentleSectionHandler for section named "gentle" in file "C:\Programme\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.exe.Config".

Unable to create FileHandler for file Gentle.config.
This usually means that the file could not be found in any of the default search locations.

The second part of the errormessage is available in the attached logfile.

Any ideas whats going wrong?

Hello guys,
i found no reason for this behavior, so i make a new install and use backupsettings for recover.
Great Plugin, now everything is fine.

Seems like the gentle.config stores the information about the connection to the database.

I had the exact same error and I found an empty gentle.config file in the folder %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal
But I found another gentle.config file in the folder %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server

So I just copied that file to %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal replacing the empty one.
After that everything was back to normal.

Thx man! You really saved my day!

For those of you who suddenly have no TV or Recordings avilable. and who are told to enter the correct Servername or IP... here is my story. For some reason my HDD was completly full. After clearing about 300 GB my TV didnt work although other clients could use the TV server without problems. I guess. because of the full HDD MediaPortal was not able to rewrite that config file and that finally caused that error. Taking the second config file solved that problem. However my remote is still not working after that "crash".
