In the last couple of weeks I have been watching smallville season 6 from beginning to end, only to realize I was missing a very important episode on my computer, episode 8. I don't know why I don't have it, must have missed it or something, but anyway, I would like some way of knowing if I am missing an episode. I was thinking that in episode view, it would display all epsiodes, even those I don't have, and mark them in red or something. This could possible be an option in the config.

This is already possible, you want to enable/disable the following options:

Disable: 'Only show available episodes' in the Media Portal Display Control tab (Also available from with-in MP Plugin menu)
Enable: Download episode information for whole series in the Import Settings->Online Data Sync Tab

    Cheers,

but for some reason it realy slows media portal down... is that just my computer? have been noticing some other slowdowns after installing kasparsky antivirus(which I'm removing as we speak), but no slowdowns as heavy as this one... hmm...

Not really sure, there is obviously more data to process with those settings enabled but I have never really noticed anything slower except for the scanning.

When you say slow, are you talking about menu navigation becoming sluggish?

yeah, my menu-navigation was already "sluggish" but not so much it bothered me too much. It has not allways been like that. Back in the days when I was running Mediaportal 0.2.2 and tv-series 0.95 or something, I don't think it was like that. But that is most likely related to my computer, not mediaportal. It's a bit odd though, since I have formated and reinstalled windows atleast twice since then, and both times it was slow. only new hardware is an external sound-card.

The slowdown is not really big, and it only occurs when entering series/seson/episode view, and also when starting an episode. it just lasts about two seconds so I guess it is alright.

I noticed a slow down on one of my PC's with a later build of Media Portal, but when I installed the latest nvidia drivers it resolved all the sluggish scrolling text. Not sure if that will help you but you could give it a try.

My Main PC is relatively fast so haven't noticed any slow down issues. Do you have Debug Logging enabled by any chance (both Media Portal and TV Series plugin), that could potentially slow things considerably.

Well, this is a laptop with an ATI radeon X300 mobile graphics card, and I have the newest drivers of everything(atleast drivershq.com says so). my laptop should be fast enough to run this app at full speed. It's a Inten Centrino Mobile prossesor at 1,76 ghrtz, 1gb ram, windows installation is fresh, so... I think it's a bit strange.

logging level is set to error in media portal and to normal in tv-series.

How many series do you have? Do you get any delays loading the banners the first time you start the plugin?

I get about a 10 second delay, but the first time i enter it, i get about 1 to 2 minute delay.... and it only comes up with 1 banner originally etc etc as per the other thread where i requested assistance. I have 185 series or so. Thought maybe you had a huge amount like i do and that you were experiencing the same issue :)
