Please test attached build with ability to browse windows-based network shares.
Probably it will not work but who knows

Hello,

How can I change the sort order? On local drives plugin sorts files and folders in alphabetical order but on network shares it sorts by seemingly random.

Hehe does it mean that browsing network is working?
I think there is no sorting at all. So it needs to implement it

I use an older version and I wanted to ask this question since ages
I have a network share mounted (with net use) with drive letter and I noticed this issue.

But I tried this version above. It lists my other PC as well as my NAS but after I select any of them plugin freezes for a while and gets back.
I think it fails to authenticate which is required. I browsed my network with windows explorer and I set my account and tried again, but nothing.

Yeah, probably authentification issue since I didn't implement it at all. Need to make new authentification dialog
Also plugin will fail to list shares if your remote pc is using any of linux based technologies like samba.
It is currently using WMI to list shares which is probably win only.
I didn't find any ways of listing samba shares atm.

Even a samba share can be mounted with 'net use' under windows but this sorting issue is a bit annoying, it's hard to find anything.

@vrm42 please check if updated build has sorting issue.
Also now pc name is not hardcoded to my pc's name so probably some of you could actually browse your own network now

Slightly better File names are now in correct order but folders are still unsorted.
