And another point:

The directory "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database\convert\" contains executable files, the directory and files should be moved to the "Program File" directory of Mediaportal to protect them against malware.

Thanks for head up on that one, it should not be in that folder @ all so thats something we have missed out. Have created a mantis report about it(the folder & whats in it it's not used anymore so it will be removed).

Unfortunately this issue is not yet fixed. After the first run of MP 1.0 Config I found the file "keymap.xml" in in ...\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

Modifying options in the Minidisplay plugin results the file "config.ini" being written to ...\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal containing "CHARSET=International"

Running MP 1.0 will create a Folder "xmltv" and a file called "MediaPortal.exe.config" being written to ...\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal.

Edit: All tests were made on a System running Vista64.
